CORA partners met on 12 of May for an online meeting to look into the project activities and plan the next implementation steps. The pilot activities in the partner regions are progressing well.

Pilot BROADEN (Broadband across border Sweden-Norway) has shown remarkable progress. Soon, the border area in Hedmark in Norway can get broadband connection (fibre) from Sweden! The fibre from the Swedish side was laid through the lake Röjden up to the Norwegian border. Now the preparations are taking place for extending the connection to the first location (a hotel) on the Norwegian side.

During the More Digital seminars in Norway, 300 seniors in the Hedmark region have improved their digital skills: Teenagers in the three municipalities have offered their services as computer guides, explained IT to seniors and helped to build a bridge between the generations.

CORA Policy Briefs on infrastructure building, infrastructure uptake, skills and services are in the making and will soon be finalized. Experience and lessons learned from CORA pilot activities will be disseminated to decision makers, public administration and SMEs.

A quick look through the CORA online courses is a must! There are more than 15 courses on broadband infrastructure, digital services and skills that are addressed to all stakeholders. Several courses on cyber security will go online in the coming weeks.

Implementation of CORA project is on track. The CORA Steering Group discussed the possibility of a project extension and looked into main indicators and coming reports.

The online meeting with 29 participants went well. We faced some technical glitches, which were solved on the way. It was great to see all the partners on screen, and we are looking forward to meeting in person soon!
