“Uptake of internet and internet services” means the regular use of internet and e-services by people, enterprises and administration. This indicator is used to estimate how and if the use of internet has become a tool of everyday life. In this context, the main barriers to get connected and effectively use internet services are lack of knowledge & skills, affordability, accessibility and lack of awareness.

In response, local, regional and national digital agendas can set up supportive measures designed to enhance the awareness of the different target groups in order to increase the use of internet and digital services.
